A website provides visual and text content that users can view and read.

Websites are accessible through browsers and display useful content. Websites are static, meaning the content doesn’t update dynamically. Web Applications

Lets take a glance of this

Web application is a piece of software that can be accessed by the browser. A Browser is an application that is used to browse the internet.
Web application needs authentication. The web application uses a combination of server-side scripts and client-side scripts to present information. It requires a server to manage requests from the users.

Web applications are websites with functionality and interactive elements. Because web apps are extremely customizable and can perform a wide range of functionality, they are generally more difficult to build and require an experienced team of software developers. A web application is computer software accessed through a web browser, often connected to a database to provide an interactive experience specific to the individual using it.

The user of web application can read the content of web application and also manipulate the data.

Examples of browser applications are simple office software (word processors, online spreadsheets, and presentation tools), but can also include more advanced applications such as project management, computer-aided design, video editing, and point-of-sale.
